SB 1040: Service of Process on Incarcerated Individuals
Senate Bill 1040 expedites the serving of legal documents to incarcerated individuals. If the prison or county jail is the only known address of the recipient party, the process server can leave the documents with the facility's litigation coordinator rather than making multiple attempts to deliver the documents in person and being denied access.
