Senator Ochoa Bogh Congratulates the 2022 Minerva Scholarship Recipients Selected from Senate District 23

Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa) is proud to announce that Anagha Madgulkar and Dashanique Harmon, residents of Senate District 23, have been selected to receive a 2022 Minerva Scholarship.

“I am always happy to support scholarship opportunities, especially the ones that target uplifting women into success through higher education,” said Senator Ochoa Bogh, Vice Chair of the Senate Education Committee. “There is nothing more valuable than an education. I applaud Anagha and Dashanique for their leadership, tenacity, and perseverance. I look forward to watching you achieve your educational life goals and make a difference in your communities. Congratulations.”

Dashanique Harmon, or Dashie as she is known to family and friends, is an aspiring individual. She is motivated and determined to become an ER trauma registered nurse. Balancing her life as a student, wife, mother of 2, and caretaker has not been easy. Dashie finds strength in God and the people around her, which continue to motivate her to be the best version of herself and follow her dreams.

Anagha Madgulkar initially pursued a career in medicine to help people. But quickly realizing she wanted to connect with people on a deeper level and understand the human mind as it relates to emotions, she withdrew from medical school and applied for psychology doctoral programs. Her journey has not been easy, but she welcomes the challenges ahead, knowing they will only strengthen her.
