Senator Ochoa Bogh presents the American Legion Auxiliary California Girls State with a $5,000 grant

Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa) recently presented the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) California Girls State with a ceremonial check for a $5,000 grant from Women in California Leadership. Senator Ochoa Bogh was instrumental in deciding where the grant money would go and picked ALA CA Girls state for their exceptional girl’s leadership program.

“Presenting the ALA California Girls State with a $5,000 grant check was an absolute honor,” said Senator Ochoa Bogh. “I strongly support this girls' leadership program because they teach the importance of civic engagement and participation, and inspire our next generation of policy leaders. Congratulations on receiving this grant.”

ALA California Girls State is a leadership program sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Department of California, designed to increase awareness and knowledge of governmental processes while learning about the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of citizenship.
