Senator Ochoa Bogh Responds to Governor’s 2024-25 Budget Proposal

Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa) released the following statement in response to Governor Gavin Newsom’s 2024-25 state budget proposal

“California is currently facing a substantial budget deficit of $68 billion. I stand ready to work to find a strategic and fiscally responsible approach to this budget shortfall and alleviate the financial burden on residents. Many Californians are struggling to afford their basic needs. From the pain at the gas pump to higher grocery store bills, hard-working families are finding it difficult to make ends meet.

"My Republican colleagues and I are committed to maximizing the efficient use of taxpayer funds by ensuring spending protects our most vulnerable communities, making California more affordable, safer, and a better place to live.”
