Senator Ochoa Bogh’s Statement on Governor’s Veto of SB 57

Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R- Yucaipa) has released the following statement upon learning Governor Newsom has vetoed Senate Bill 57:

“I am relieved Governor Newsom heard our concerns and vetoed SB 57,” said Senator Ochoa Bogh. “I look forward to working with the Governor and my legislative colleagues to find solutions to tackle the root cause of this issue and get individuals suffering from opioid addiction the compassionate treatment they need.”

Earlier this month, Senate Republicans signed a formal letter urging Governor Newsom to veto this bill and called on the public to voice their concerns.
