Farewell to Assemblyman Tom Lackey

This week, I had the privilege of stepping back onto the green carpet to listen to the farewell tribute of Assemblyman, Tom Lackey, as he ends his term in the Legislature.

It has been an honor to know Tom, to have been his seatmate, and to watch firsthand the incredible legislator - and even better human being - he is.

Tom is truly one of a kind: honest, funny, principled, and incredibly effective. I will miss him immensely in the Legislature, but thankfully, I know I’ll still see him around town in the High Desert.

Godspeed, Tom. Thank you for your service, your friendship, and all the laughs along the way. California is better because you served. 💚
