Senator Suzette Martinez Valladares (R-Santa Clarita) recognizes A Greater Hope as the 2025 Nonprofit of the Year.
A Greater Hope is a nationally accredited, community based organization serving hundreds of at-risk adults, vulnerable children and foster families each year. The Victorville, California based organization provides a continuum of care that includes child abuse prevention and treatment, foster care, and adoption related services and counseling and behavioral health services.
“A Greater Hope is a beacon of hope for thousands of children and families in our community,” said Senator Valladares. “For over 20 years, this incredible organization has served our most vulnerable with love and compassion.”
Since 2002, A Greater Hope has found safe and loving homes for more than 6,000 children in need and provides nearly 9,000 hours of counseling and therapy each year.
“The dedicated and loving staff at A Greater Hope stop at nothing to provide the needed resources to transform the lives of children and adults in our community. Their work changes the trajectory of lives and the ripple effects of their efforts are immeasurable,” Senator Valladares concluded.
Each year, California State Senators honor a California Nonprofit of the Year from their district. Nonprofits are chosen for their dedication to serving others and the impact they have on their community.
On Wednesday, May 21, representatives from A Greater Hope traveled to Sacramento to meet with Senator Valladares and receive their honor on the floor of the California State Senate.
