Senator Valladares to Host Free Autism Resource Fair in Santa Clarita

The "Care & Connect" event brings together dozens of local service providers, safety agencies, and community organizations for families in the autism community

Senator Suzette Valladares (R-Santa Clarita) will host the Care & Connect Autism Resource Fair to bring resources together at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD). The free, public event is designed to connect families, caregivers, and community members with services, resources, and support for children on the autism spectrum — all in one welcoming, accessible setting.

What: FREE Care & Connect Autism Resource Fair 

When: Saturday, May 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 

(Presentations begin at 10:00 a.m.) 

Where: Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), 27502 Avenue Scott, Santa Clarita, CA

"Too often, families spend countless hours trying to track down the services their children need," said Sen. Valladares. "This event is about making that easier. We are bringing the resources directly to families and doing it alongside the incredible organizations that show up for our community every single day."

PUBLIC SAFETY PRESENTATIONS START AT 10:00 A.M.

  • LA County Sheriff's Department — family safety information and resources

  • LA County Fire Department — hands-on sidewalk CPR demonstration

After the 10:00 a.m. presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with a wide range of providers and agencies, and hear presentations from the following organizations:

Social Services & Support Available for Information

  • LA County Regional Center — services and resources for individuals with developmental disabilities

  • Department of Public Social Services — In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) support for independence at home

  • Special Olympics Southern California — inclusive sports, health, and community programs

  • American Red Cross — water safety resources and information

Community Providers & Enrichment

Families will also connect with providers offering services tailored specifically for children on the spectrum and their families — from dentists and sensory-friendly hair stylists to gyms, martial arts programs, summer camps, and art and music enrichment.

Participating organizations include: LA County Department of Public Health, Carousel Ranch, All Kids Dentistry, Kids Cuts & Waves, The Art Tree, Include Everyone Project SCV, Living Limitless Collective, If I Need Help, Tectonic Fitness, Bright Star Martial Arts, Yes I Can Through Music & Education, and the Support Group for Parents of Special Needs Children, among others.
